As our campus works through the many details surrounding the COVID-19 situation and remote course delivery for the remainder of spring semester, the Graduate College wanted to share a few essential details regarding our updated schedule of services and events. Based on the advice of state and federal public health experts, the university has suspended events where proper social distancing cannot be assured, through April 15, 2020. In light of these university measures, we will be canceling larger Graduate College hosted events, while others will continue to be provided to you remotely.

April 2 | 3 – 4:15 p.m.
Offered remotely via Zoom. This session will discuss the challenges and strategies for supporting students through acute moments in their lives and faculty lives.

Graduate defenses will continue remotely. Defenses are open to the public and may be accessed via Zoom meetings. Visit the Graduate College events calendar to view upcoming graduate defenses. The Graduate Student Success Center on-campus office is closed, but staff will continue to provide services remotely. Graduate students can schedule online consultations with our writing coaches at any time. - Mentoring Awards
The Graduate College Excellence in Graduate Mentoring Award recipients will be announced on April 1. Award recipients will be posted on the mentoring award website.

Graduate College Travel Awards
The Graduate College has decided to suspend the current call for spring Conference Travel Funding. We plan to revisit the opportunity in May, and will determine at that time if the summer Conference Travel Funding call will be advertised. If so, students will receive an email notification and invitation to apply from the Graduate College.
Deadline Updates
We know many of you are concerned about upcoming deadlines. The Graduate College has extended some deadlines related to thesis and dissertation submissions, which can be found on the deadlines website. If you are submitting your thesis or dissertation and have questions, contact Wayne Cochrane or Lynzi Cooper at success@boisestate.edu.
Additional Extended Deadline: The last day to submit an Application for Admission to Candidacy form to the Graduate College for graduate degrees and certificates to be awarded August 2020 has been extended to April 1, 2020. Late submissions may be arranged by contacting an Admission and Degree Specialist at graduatecollege@boisestate.edu.
