correction to IDOC IGEM limited submission notice

Below is corrected from the prior message:

**Please note***:  All proposals must have an Industry Partner and “all approved awards are required to include a monetary or in-kind contribution from the Industry Partner.”  IDAPA §28.02.07 (301).   It is expected that the Industry Partner will participate in the proposal preparation in light of the requested commercialization information as well as be available to present to the IGEM Council if selected.

 The Division of Research and Economic Development will conduct an internal review and inform PIs of the VPR’s decision by 5 pm on Wednesday August 9, 2017.  Full proposals will be due to OSP on Wednesday September 6, 2017(sponsor’s deadline for submission is Friday September 8, 2017).

Idaho Department of Commerce/Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Mission (IGEM):  The IGEM Grant Program funds commercialization grants supporting University and industry research partnerships for the purpose of enhancing technology transfer and commercialization of research and technologies developed at the Universities to create high-quality jobs and new industries in the private sector in Idaho.

Please reply to cohs-research@boisesate.edu with a white paper (1-2 pages) that addresses the following:

  1. PI and Co-PI names;
  2. Industry partner name(s) and role(s);
  3. Project and technology being proposed;
  4. Discussion o the current level of development of the proposed project/technology and what steps have already been taken or will be taken to commercialize the project/technology.

**Please note***:  All proposals must have an Industry Partner and “all approved awards are required to include a monetary or in-kind contribution from the Industry Partner.”  IDAPA §28.02.07 (301).   As defined, the Industry Partner will contractually agree to license our technology for design, production or sales.  IDAPA §28.02.07(010.07).  It is expected that the Industry Partner will participate in the proposal preparation in light of the requested commercialization information as well as be available to present to the IGEM Council if selected.
