Our application consists of three components: your academic record*, a resume, and an essay. For international students, we recommend an unweighted cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher (or equivalent score from your secondary school)**. We do not require international students to submit scores from ACT or SAT examinations; however, you can request that we consider these scores when evaluating your application.
Your resume and essay serve as opportunities for you to highlight your experience in engaging with the world around you. Together they tell us more about you beyond what is reflected elsewhere on your application.
*Due to the complexities of testing availability related to Covid-19, standardized test scores will not be considered for Fall ’21 Honors admission or Honors scholarships.
For requirements regarding university admissions and scholarships, please contact Admissions at (208) 426-1156.
**Note: Meeting or exceeding our academic performance recommendations does not automatically guarantee admission or a scholarship from the Honors College. Failure to meet them does not automatically disqualify you for admission.
