In the Growth Experience, we are focusing on the employee experience from welcome through farewell. This includes projects and policies that touch on employee satisfaction, total rewards and initiatives to assist in employee development, participation, and wellbeing. Our goal is to motivate and retain talented, committed people who drive the university’s mission forward.

We are restructuring to create a team that is solely responsible for the Growth Experience. This experience has many focus points and each employee’s growth experience is specifically unique to their trajectory within the organization. Again modeled after Mazlow’s Hierarchy of needs our focus is on career pathing, coaching, compensation and meaningful performance management, to name a few.

  • Tiffany Trader

    Growth Team Leader

    Tiffany is an Idaho native; raised on a family farm in southwest Idaho. Prior to joining Boise State University, Tiffany was a Human Resource Manager for US Ecology Idaho. She received her degree from Boise State University and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and as well as a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification. Tiffany joined the Human Resource department at Boise State University in 2011. Her favorite aspect (“why”) of the Growth Team position is providing employees with a better employee experience.

  • Abel Johnson

    Senior Growth Specialist

    Abel was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He holds a B.B.A. in Marketing as well as a B.B.A. in Human Resource Management. Prior to Boise State University, Abel worked as a Recruiter in both the transportation and telecommunications industry. He, and his wife Darcy, have three children and reside in Meridian. He loves to spend his free time with his wife and children renovating their home, building things from scratch and wrestling with his kids. Abel and his family love to travel, find new adventures and make new memories whenever possible. The biggest thing about Abel is that he loves to laugh and tease.

    Senior Growth Specialist

    Kyle Galloway was born and raised in Southern California. He holds a B.A. in Communications from Boise State University, and is a SHRM Certified Professional. Prior to Boise State University, Kyle worked as an HR Consultant for Ada County. Kyle is currently a member of Boise’s Southwest Rotary Club, President of the The International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR) – Idaho, and a current member of the Southern Idaho Compensation and Benefits chapter. He and his wife Natasha have three kids, and are current residents of Meridian. Kyle enjoys cheering on his daughter and the Boise Thorns when he is away from his office, and helps with Cub Scouting activities for his son.

  • Denise M. Stringer

    Senior Employee Relations Specialist

    Denise is a Human Resources professional with experience in employee engagement through employee relations, organizational development, talent management, recognition and rewards, instructional design, training and development, event management, and corporate citizenship.

    Prior to joining Boise State University, Denise managed the Human Resources functions at AmeriBen, and was a Human Resources/Recruiting Specialist at MAXIMUS for the Affordable Care Act Contract. She also worked for DIRECTV for 15 years managing the Recognition, Events, and Corporate Citizenship programs for an 1100-employee call center.  Denise is a Boise State University graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources.  Denise is an Idaho native and loves to travel to places inside and outside of Idaho with her daughter, who is now attending Boise State.

    Kip Spittle was born and raised in Wisconsin.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.  He started with Boise State University in 2011 working as a counselor within Student Affairs.  Currently, he is a Senior Growth Engagement & Culture Specialist and within Boise State’s Learning and Organizational Development department within Human Resources.  His favorite aspect (“why”) of this position is shifting behaviors to a growth mindset for desired outcomes to advance team abilities.
