The 2019 Goshawk REU Season Begins

Our IBO Team Goshawk summer REU intern has arrived. Allyson joins us from Weber State University and will spend the next 10 weeks leading her own research project alongside our continuing goshawk studies in the U.S. Forest Service-Sawtooth National Forest. Today we were out teaching her tree climbing techniques we use for accessing goshawk nests.

We have a few more days of training in the works, but she is off to a great start! We have two more interns joining this Sunday as we head into the field next week. Thanks again to David from Canopy Watch International for his continued contributions to our training!
