Workshops

We recognize the link between media and civic engagement and know that media literacy can bridge the gap between what we see on the television and online and how we engage with each other and our communities. Democracy depends upon a healthy press and a demand for intelligent, reliable reporting depends upon literate media consumers.

That’s why the Idaho Media Initiative is in our local schools, university classrooms and the community leading and sponsoring media literacy workshops, discussions and symposia. We aim to inform and engage through education, starting with the youngest media consumers. We offer lesson plans, guest lecturers and classroom resources to teachers and parents as well as tailored instruction for K-12 students.
