Welcome to Spring 2020

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new semester. A fresh start! I hope you will make this coming semester a good one. I want to take a moment to encourage you to stop by the MakerLab and learn a new skill early in the semester. 3D design and printing can be used in any course and every discipline, but our MakerLab is so much more than just 3D printing.

Our biggest asset is our community of learners. A group of individuals regularly uses the MakerLab to enhance their learning and grow, setting goals together, and using each other’s strengths and experiences to help each other acquire new knowledge. Individuals come in with their big ideas and passions, and the ability to solve problems. They use their disciplinary lens to help solve problems, and show others how to see it through that lens. In this way, the collaborations in the MakerLab are the most important – and this is available to everyone.

We also offer sewing machines, a button maker, and a lot of other technologies. I hope you will stop by and learn together with us, get trained on something new, or participate in a workshop! Let us know if you have any questions by emailing makerlab@boisestate.edu
