Celebrating African American music month

Jimi Hendrix exhibit
National Museum of African American Music in Nashville

Albertsons Library celebrates African American music month in June. Check out the display at the circulation desk! You will find a book collection featuring various artists such as Tina Turner, the soulful and ageless vocalist who has ruled the stage for more than four decades. You can also read about Miles Davis. He got his start playing trumpet with Charlie Parker in the 1940s. He is one of the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz.

Items on display may be checked out. And for more resource information, check out the subject guides for History and Music, or visit the reference or circulation desk for help. Librarians and staff can help you locate useful resources on this topic, and so many more!
