About Us
Boise State’s string program enables young musicians the opportunity to build a comprehensive professional skill set as 21st-century artists and educators.
As a Boise State string program student, numerous avenues for performance, repertoire and skill expansion through chamber groups, the Boise State Symphony Orchestra, combos and private lessons are available. In addition, frequent master classes by world-renowned visiting artists provide invaluable learning opportunities. Scholarships are available in all areas on a competitive basis.
I have found that the Department of Music has offered me many challenging and intellectually stimulating opportunities from my private lessons to the Symphony Orchestra – not to mention chamber music, guest recitals, guest lectures and more. The eclectic culture and atmosphere established in this department make it a place that’s easy to fit in, find life-long friends and make learning fun!
