Ben Bailey

Ben was born in Arizona, but eventually moved to Idaho and attended elementary through high school in Meridian. Growing up, he was inspired by robotics and had the goal of becoming an aerospace engineer. After completing his Associates degree in high school, he went on to become a mechanical engineering student at Boise State University. During his freshman year, Ben was employed at a robotics innovation company in Nampa – after his first year, he decided to change majors to Materials Science & Engineering (MSE). This change was motivated by his friends, professors, and a greater overarching interest in materials engineering that took precedence over robotics. Ben is greatly excited to continue pursuing a career in aerospace, and hopes to co-author as many papers as possible through the Surface Science Laboratory by the time he finishes his Bachelors degree.
