One year of post-licensure experience as a nurse practitioner, physician, or physician assistant.
Strong communication, problem solving, teaching, advocacy, conflict resolution, and goal-setting skills.
A willingness to provide regular evaluations and to deliver constructive feedback to students.
A desire to share your knowledge as a mentor and teach – and to be an advocate for learning.
In addition to completing student evaluations, Typhon has a tool for submitting a program survey on Boise State’s nurse practitioner program for preceptor to optionally complete at the end of the rotation.
