MSA Foundations Admissions

To be considered for the Online Accountancy Foundations program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Prerequisite Courses

(or courses deemed equivalent)

    • ACCT 205 Introduction to Financial Accounting
    • ACCT 206 Introduction to Managerial Accounting
    • FINAN 303 Principles of Finance
    • Math 254 Intro to Statistics/BUSSTAT 207 Introduction to Business Analytics
    • Students should be comfortable with and have experience using Excel. Your success coach can discuss with you the specific requirements for the program.

You may apply to the program while finishing these prerequisite courses and be admitted with provisional status. Accepted students will not be able to register for program classes until these requirements are met.

Standard Admission

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Cumulative undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.00 (4.00 scale)
  • C- or better in the prerequisite courses
  • GMAT exam score ≥ 500 OR GRE exam score of at least 152 for both verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections. If you have taken the LSAT, and wish to use the LSAT instead of the GMAT or GRE, your LSAT exam score ≥ 150.*

Fast Track Admission

  • 3.50 cumulative GPA (or 3.30 if the bachelor’s degree is in a STEM field) OR
  • An advanced degree from a regionally accredited institution (Master’s, Doctorate) in any discipline.
