Syringa Hall

Project Description

Construction of a student residence hall is underway between Albertsons Library, the Hemingway Center and the Amphitheater. The new structure will include 452-beds to support first-year students on Boise State’s campus beginning in fall 2025. The facility is in the core of campus, near several academic and student support facilities. Its strategic location will be conducive to building community and fostering long-term academic success for first-year student residents.

The housing units will consist of 219 double occupancy rooms with central bathrooms, 14 Resident Advisors rooms with private bathrooms, and a two-bedroom Resident Director apartment. Common spaces such as study areas, lounges, laundry facilities, meeting spaces, offices, package rooms, as well as mechanical spaces are also included. The total building area is approximately 98,000 sf.

This project is designed to achieve a minimum of LEED Silver certification as defined in U.S. Green Building Council LEED v4 Building Design and Construction for New Construction standards.
