Barb Beagles
Executive Director, FOM
Barb Beagles has been part of the Campus Operations team since 2011. Previously, she served as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Boise State, and in the private sector for manufacturing facilities including Ash Grove Cement and Weyerhaeuser. Barb’s main focus is ensuring our campus is safe, presentable and operational with limited downtime and minimal interruption to student learning. She holds bachelor degrees in biology and secondary education from Idaho State University, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Idaho.

Christy Jordan
Executive Director, CPSM
Christy Jordan has served as the director of Capital Planning and Space Management since 2013 where she oversees the university’s long range and space planning efforts. She joined Boise State University in 2003 as a project manager with Architectural and Engineering Services and prior to that she was a project architect at Montana State University. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture at Montana State University.

Fonda Portales
University Art Curator and Collections Manager
Fonda Portales joined Campus Operations in 2016. In her role, Fonda directs campus-led visual arts programming, manages the University’s permanent art collection as both a cultural and a financial asset, curates Student Union gallery spaces as well as pop up exhibitions across campus, and administers public art commissions. She earned a bachelor of arts in English Education at Northwest Nazarene University and a master’s degree in Art History at California State University, Los Angeles.

George Thoma
Communications Specialist
George Thoma has served as the communications specialist for campus operations since April of 2019 after working in communications and marketing for other areas of the university. Prior to joining Boise State, George worked in the sports and outdoor industry managing athlete, event and product marketing. He holds a bachelor of arts in film studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
