Scale Development & Model Validation

In her recent research, Dr. Chyung and her colleagues developed a 20-item survey instrument that measures learners’ attitudes toward team projects by:

  • involving a total of 555 human subjects
  • conducting exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses
  • using SPSS and AMOS for statistical analyses

The manuscript entitled “Measuring learners’ attitudes toward team projects: Scale development through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses” has been accepted for publication in the December 2017 issue of the American Journal of Engineering Education, which is a peer-reviewed research journal:

Dr. Chyung’s research interests also include validating existing models (containing multi-dimensions) with structural equation modeling (SEM).
