Submissions for the Creative Non-Fiction category are open to one work of creative nonfiction completed for coursework in the last calendar year. Submissions should not exceed 20 pages. Cassandra Woodard wrote the 1st place submission in the Creative Nonfiction Category for the 2021 President’s Writing Awards.
About Cassandra
Cassie was born and raised in Cupertino, California, where apple orchards gave way to Apple computers. Moving to Idaho in 2018, she first attended College of Western Idaho, transferring to Boise State this year as a junior. She is currently pursuing her BFA in Creative Writing and hopes to pursue an MFA after graduation. Outside of writing, Cassie likes cooking and baking (though she is not very good at either), and coddling her two-year-old black lab, Big Mac.
