The Communications and Marketing team at Boise State University provides strategic direction and brand alignments for the university’s top-level outreach and marketing campaigns. Our team has experience crafting strategic marketing plans for any size project, from small on-campus promotions to large national media placements.

They provide resources for university content, marketing, brand standards, photo and video services, social media and web strategy.

Trademark Licensing

Trademark Licensing offers a suite of resources for university departments and student organizations including Promotional Product Licensees and on-campus promotional ideas.

Off-campus community members, businesses, vendors and non-profits will find information on corporate sponsorships, using university trademarks, tailgate vehicles, fan sites and more.

A brand isn’t a logo. It isn’t a tagline or a product. A brand is our reputation. The way we speak, the way we act, the experiences that our students and visitors have on campus is our brand. Print Guidelines

A well-branded organization is consistent in the appearance of its graphics, colors, designs and performance. Consistent and correct use of the signature mark, our color palette and distinctive fonts all help people recognize Boise State University. Designs and photographs enhance that experience and story. All print pieces–from publications and brochures to stationery and business cards–carry the Boise State brand and message.

Signage Standards

Interior and exterior signage must be coordinated with Architectural and Engineering Services and may be ordered through our University Sign Shop.

Writing Style Guide

The Writing Style Guide is a resource to help our campus community communicate consistently and professionally.

We use Associated Press style (the style most news organizations use) with some exceptions noted in this guide.
