Public Health Testing

Get Tested

Boise State Public Health offers self-collected COVID-19/Flu, Whooping Cough and Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing for everyone, including the general public!

You do not need an appointment for testing. All testing samples will be done using the self-collection testing kits found around campus.

You can find more details on locating self-collection tests and drop-boxes in the Testing Locations and Hours section.

Before You Test

Ensure you have the following items ready for your paperwork:

  1. Boise State campus ID or State Identification card.
  2. Insurance card along with the primary policy holder’s date of birth, phone number, and address.

The Public Health Lab will bill your insurance, however, you will be responsible for paying any co-pay or other out-of-pocket fees.

Individuals without insurance may pay with cash, check, or credit card. Please call 208-426-1523 to use a credit card.

You can find more details on insurance billing and out-of-pocket costs, as well as associated terms and conditions of testing at the Public Health Lab, in the Testing Services and Charges section.
