Parking Permits

Parking at Boise State University

Boise State offers a variety of parking permits designed to meet the needs of students, employees, departments, vendors, and visitors. Whether you’re on campus daily, for a semester, or just attending an event, there’s a permit option that fits.

2025 – 2026 Permit Sales and Renewals

Starting at 10 a.m. on July 1, current Commuter, Reserve, and non-resident Garage permit holders can renew their permits. We’ll email detailed instructions in May and send a reminder before July 1. Make sure your email is up to date in the parking portal so you don’t miss these updates.

Then, at 10 a.m. on August 4, any remaining permits — including all resident permits — will go on sale. We’ll share more details by email in July about how and where to buy your permit. Stay tuned and watch your inbox!

Know Before You Park

  • All vehicles must have a valid Boise State permit or park in designated hourly or visitor areas.
  • Your vehicle must have valid license plates and a visible Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
  • Reserve, Commuter, and Garage permits are for day use only. For overnight parking, use a Resident permit or coordinate with your event organizer.
  • Parking is enforced 24/7—including weekends and holidays—unless otherwise posted.
  • A permit gives you access to a parking zone, but it doesn’t guarantee a space. Parking is first come, first served.
