About ORC
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) provides assistance to faculty, staff and students in certain areas of research, and some academic activities, to comply with federal, state and local laws/regulations as well as certain sponsor requirements and University policies.
Some University research activities are overseen by regulatory and compliance committees imposed by federal laws. Non-compliance may result in severe penalties to the institution and in some instances to the individual. It is the responsibility of all researchers to be familiar with university policies relating to areas of research requiring compliance with government regulations.
