Please join us on July 23rd
Together we will celebrate Frank Church’s legacy through honoring an amazing public servant and Idaho Citizen of the World, Gregory C. Carr
Short Bio
Idaho native Greg Carr co-founded the Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University. Joining family and friends, he co-founded the Museum of Idaho, a cultural and natural history museum in Idaho Falls that is the largest institution of its kind in the state. He is a major supporter of the Wassmuth Center in Boise and the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d’Alene.
In January of 2008, Carr signed an agreement with the Government of Mozambique to restore and co-manage the country¹s flagship national park, Gorongosa. The Park Human Development Department provides health care, education, and agricultural assistance to the local communities living near its borders. Gorongosa conducts after-school programs in 100 primary schools that help keep teen girls in school and out of child marriage.
