Education a Top Priority in Idaho

After below grade-level reading skills were identified in 2015, then-Gov. Otter and the Legislature enacted a new literacy initiative for Idaho students. The budget for this popular initiative has grown since its inception in 2016 and triggered the Legislature to hire Idaho Policy Institute researchers to assess the effectiveness of the current Literacy Intervention Program.
