Working with Boise State’s Service Learning

The Idaho Policy Institute had the pleasure of being a Community Partner for Boise State’s CS533 – Intro to Data Science class in the fall of 2018. The students were tasked with a Service Learning project in which they worked with real community partners on a project and applied data science processes they learned in class. IPI worked with five groups of students and several of them presented their posters to the University. The partnership with the class provided IPI with some very valuable data access and analysis tools that will benefit our clients in the future.
