Investigate Boise 1: Boise’s Urban Landscape
June 4-8
This class will investigate Boise’s urban environment including the politics, policies, and history influencing its shape and design. We will examine water, land, animals, and transportation in Boise, and use on-site visits to make comparisons to nationwide historical trends.

Investigate Boise 2: Going with the Flow: The Boise River
July 9-13
This class will examine multiple aspects of the Boise River. We will look at where our water comes from, where it goes, who uses it, and how this might change in the face of population growth and climate variability.

Boise Part I: The Green City
Examine the role of the environment in the Treasure Valley focusing on what makes a city green and sustainable, including topics on the region’s environmental history, its culture of urban conservation, and the politics of green development.
Boise Part II: Public Art and Community Development
This class will survey the use of art and design to remake urban space, paying particular attention to the history and politics of equitable development through public art and civic engagement.
