It’s an election year, which means that super big important presidential vote is coming up on Nov. 3. That’s barely over a month away! If you haven’t registered to vote yet, don’t panic. Voter Registration Day is Sept. 22, and some fun stuff is happening to help you make an informed decision and get registered quickly and easily. Here’s what you need to know:

1) What is National Voter Registration Day at Boise State?

All sorts of groups around campus and the Boise area are working to make sure that you have every opportunity to register to vote. There will be several ways for you to participate, including events and volunteer opportunities, and when you’re all done, you can share it with us on social media.

2) Be informed with Boise State Instagram takeovers

The Boise State Instagram page will have special guests taking over their feed to give you information about why it’s so important to register as soon as you can, what you should expect when you go to register on campus, and it will also feature awesome info from election experts.

3) Register to Vote at the Rec

ASBSU and What the Vote! will be at the Rec Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can register there, of course, and you can also chat with them about your voting plan and if you don’t have one they can help you with that—where, when, how—all that good stuff that you need to know in order to vote responsibly.

4) Participate in the #BroncosVote

Follow Boise State social media for posts you can share, fill out, and use to spread knowledge about voting. Use the hashtag #BroncosVote to share photos and anything else you’re doing to help spread awareness about the importance of voting. Let’s share the knowledge!

5) Sign up to be a poll worker

If you have some free time and feel passionate about helping other students get registered, you can sign up to help out at the polls. And guess what? You can get paid to help out your community. Ada County has filled all of their positions, but if you live somewhere else you can look into your local polling needs.

5 ½) Nothing will make you feel more American than voting
