Leadership: it’s about making a positive impact at any level. Learn to lead a small group, become an advocate for your peers on campus, or go all in with service opportunities that can change your community and change the world. Whatever leadership skills you want to build, we can help. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
ASBSU
Getting involved with student government will give you a chance to advocate for the interests of all Boise State students. And there are many ways to get involved: run for an executive office, join the student assembly, or get involved with the Inclusive Excellence Student Council.
Orientation Leaders
Orientation leaders are some of the first people to officially welcome new students to Boise State. Think about becoming an orientation leader if you want to help new Broncos have a smooth and positive transition to the Boise State community.
Learning Assistants
Learning Assistants are peers who provide academic support for students in traditionally difficult courses and help students experience a higher rate of success and overall better grades.
Peer Mentoring
Provide assistance for students with your experience and developed skills. There are multiple peer mentor programs on campus. Check with the college or department of your major, or other programs of interest.
Leadership Certificate
Learn to work effectively with others and solve problems while making a difference in your field or community. There are two certificate programs, open to all majors, available – choose between fully online or in-person.
