Self Care
Self care is about making intentional choices about how you spend your time and energy. Take good care of yourself, and you’ll feel better AND function better. It’s not easy, especially when you’re a college student, but it’s important. Start by fitting just one self care practice into your routine – like 10 minutes of daily meditation, or getting at least 7 hours of sleep every night – and grow from there.
Counseling Services
Counseling Services helps you tap into your strengths and find resources to deal more effectively with concerns that impact your pursuit of personal and academic goals. They offer individual, multi-person couples, and group counseling.
Resiliency Room
If you need a place to meditate, pray, or just relax and catch your breath away from the hustle on campus, look no further. The Resiliency Room – on the second floor of the SUB – is exactly that. It’s stocked with anything you might need to take care of your spiritual self: mindful message cards, prayer books, pillows and mats for sitting or kneeling, chakra stones and notebooks.
The Rec Center
Take care of your physical health by staying active. The Rec Center has free fitness classes, an aquatic center, an outdoor program, basketball courts and plenty of workout space. They also offer paid classes for a premium experience – smaller classes and one-on-one feedback from highly trained instructors. They even have personal trainers.
Health Coaching
Meeting with a health coach can help you achieve your health goals. Health coaches will guide, motivate, and provide resources while helping you set goals that fit your interests and lifestyle.
GradWell
If you’re a graduate student, you are likely under more stress than ever before – and have less time to take care of yourself than ever before. GradWell is a program that provides mental wellness education and access to mental health resources, and fosters students’ community connections.
