What are advising holds?

Holds are a way the university can prevent enrollment in courses for a variety of reasons.  Required advising holds prevent enrollment for not attending required advising appointments and failing to meet academic standards.  AASC manages two types of holds:  Required First-Year Advising holds and Probation, Dismissal, and Reinstatement holds.
