Think 30

Finish In Four

What is Think 30?

Think 30 is all about helping you save money, graduate in a timely manner, and start your advanced degree or career sooner. Our goal is to provide a high-quality education and help Boise State students complete their degree in four years, so they can save money and reduce debt.

The concept is simple: earn 30 credits per year to graduate in four years!

Extra years of college can cost you thousands, both in what you pay and what you lose from not having a job. So, taking 30 credits a year saves you money and lets you make more after you graduate.

Students who take 30 credits a year tend to get higher GPAs. Who doesn’t want to get a higher GPA?

Taking 30 credits a year dramatically increases your chances of reaching graduation. And hey, isn’t that sort of what this is all about?

Questions

How can I accomplish 30 credits in one year?

There are multiple ways to take 30 credits in one year

I thought 12 credits was full time?

It’s true that 12 credits a semester qualifies students as “full-time” for financial aid and other purposes. However, students who take 12 credits per semester or 24 credits per year cannot complete their degree on time.  In order to earn the required 120 credits to graduate, students need to take 30 credits per year (30 x 4 = 120)

Doesn’t it cost more money to take more credits per semester?

Not at Boise State!  Students pay the exact same flat amount whether they take 11 credits per semester or 16 credits per semester.  More info about Boise State Tuition and Fees can be found at https://www.boisestate.edu/sfs/boise-state-university-fees/undergraduate-tuition-fees/
