Brian Kyanjo, 2023 Innovation Award Finalist

Promoting STEM Education Across Idaho

STEM education is essential in preparing students for the future job market, but underprivileged schools often lack the necessary resources and support to provide quality STEM education to their students. Brian Kyanjo, Graduate Research Assistant in Mathematics, recognizes the importance of promoting STEM education, and has dedicated his time to visiting underprivileged schools across the state of Idaho, and sensitizing students to the importance of STEM.

By demonstrating simple STEM experiments and providing information about local STEM programs and resources, Kyanjo and his team hope to inspire underrepresented and female students to pursue STEM education, thus bridging the gap and creating a more diverse and inclusive STEM workforce for the future.
