I’ve used my anthropology degree from Boise State to become a UX/Process Designer. The skillset necessary aligns perfectly with my degree, and I love my job! The biggest challenge is communicating the value and applicability to those in a position to hire; however, if they’re not able to make the connection, I wouldn’t really want to work for them anyway.

After completing my undergrad at Boise State, an unlikely career in design and photography developed, leading me to become involved in documenting the volcanological work of the Geosciences Department at BSU.

Mathew’s professional journey has taken him from public health research to working with veterans on drug addiction, to researching cancer.

Kersti’s degree in Anthropology has influenced her life in three broad ways: 1)by changing how she goes about daily living; 2) by informing how she thinks about her relationships and interactions with other people, and 3) by understanding the world of human behavior at a deeper level.

Drew’s education in anthropology has facilitated his success in the field of Community Development.

David is an archaeologist in Vernal Utah working for the BLM.

Margaret began her undergraduate studies in marketing and discovered an interest in ancient history, archaeology, and cultural studies. Margaret has gone on to pursue a Ph.D. in Classical Archaeology and has participated in archaeological expeditions.

Shane had the opportunity to gain applied experience with the Alaskan Department of Fish and Game.

The cross-cultural perspective of anthropology brought unity… to Bill’s personal development and enriched his life by providing insight not only into the behavior of others but his own behavior as well.
