Langroise House

The Langroise House is a nearly six-thousand square foot house located in the Warm Springs Historic District. Gladys and William Langroise donated it to Boise State on the condition that it would be used as a home by the President of Boise State University. When Gladys died in 2000, the deed was transferred to Boise State. After extensive renovations, particularly to the kitchen, President Charles Ruch and his family moved into the house in 2002. They lived there for one year before moving out. Because the necessary maintenance and renovation costs were so high, it was decided in 2005 that the house must be sold. Profits from the sale funded scholarships for students.
