1942 (80) – original Student Union opens, now Communications Building
1967 (55) – first 4-year degrees awarded
1967 (55) – Student Union Building opens
1972 (50) – first masters degrees
1972 (50) – Morrison Hall became first co-ed dorm
1972 (50) – Title IX and establishment of sanctioned women’s sports
1977 (45) – Boise State Public Radio
1982 (40) – Jay Luo became the youngest college graduate in the country at age 12
1982 (40) – The Pavilion opened (formerly Taco Bell Arena, now ExtraMile Arena)
1982 (40) – Alumni Academic Awards renamed Top Ten Scholars
1987 (35) – Master in raptor biology first offered
1987 (35) – Tom Trusky, English professor, named one of top 10 professors in the nation by the Carnegie Foundation
1987 (35) – Boise State Radio begins broadcasting National Public Radio programs
1992 (30) – Gender Equity Center (formerly Women’s Center) established
1997 (25) – First doctorate degree awarded, Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction
1997 (25) – Multipurpose Classroom Building opening
1997 (25) – College of Technology divided into College of Engineering and Larry Selland College of Applied Technology
1997 (25) – William Mech, longest-serving director of the Honors Program/College retired
2002 (20) – Rec Center and Appleton Tennis Center open
2007 (15) – first Fiesta Bowl win
2007 (15) – Caven-Williams opens
2007 (15) – ILC opens
2012 (10) – MBEB opens, Steve Appleton dies
2017 (5) – Honors College/Sawtooth Hall opens
