You won’t be a glorified coffee runner or photocopier. We want you to work on meaningful projects that will equip you for your future.

Work directly with a professional mentor

You will work alongside a mentor who is committed to providing you the support, skills, and resources to be successful. Mentors have the necessary skill sets to help you grow, learn and progress as an individual, student, and future professional.

Build your network and resume

You will be immersed in a professional work environment where you will meet new people, experience the company culture, and daily operations of the Work U employer. The connections you make, experience you gain, and the projects you contribute to will help you develop your resume and network and make you more competitive when applying for future opportunities.

Explore your future career path

Weekly in-class meetings will provide you with the support, coaching and skills needed to navigate and succeed in the workplace. Class time gives you a chance to reflect upon and discuss your experience. Career Advisors will help you connect your experience and interests to future career paths and facilitate your overall development and success.

Testimonials

“Work U gave me direction, a sense of purpose and was the starting point for every opportunity I have. Your semester in Work U may end but the support, experience, and opportunities don’t. I wouldn’t have received a paid internship with Albertsons Companies without Work U. ”

Kenzie Wachtell
Corporate Communication Albertsons Companies

“The Work U program has been an amazing experience and has really helped me advance my career. I recently was offered a summer internship position at US Bank in their commercial lending department, and I believe that this experience really put me ahead of the other applicants.”

Daniel Lasky

“The Work U experience showed me that I made the right decision in pursuing the healthcare field, and ultimately increased my passion and desire to help people. I would recommend Work U to any student who is looking for the opportunity be hands on in a field, take risks, and become an active participant in their path to career life!”
