COVID-19 Update: In an effort to maintain our community’s health and safety, our staff and services have moved online for the remainder of Spring 2020. Throughout this time, career advising appointments will be available via video-chat (Google Hangouts, or Zoom by request) and phone.

Have questions? Contact us Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm by emailing cobecareers@boisestate.edu. We will respond to appointment requests within 1 business day.

Additionally, if you need to meet outside of our office hours, please indicate so in your appointment request. We strive to accommodate all students, no matter your location or schedule.

Appointment Modes

Not on campus? No worries! We currently offer appointments in two different modes – phone or video chat (Google Hangouts, or Zoom by request). In-person appointments are suspended for Spring 2020.

For video-chat appointments, we use Google Hangouts. However, we also have access to Zoom, if preferred. A link to your video-chat appointment will be included in a Google Calendar email invite.

For phone appointments, please include your phone number with area code in your request. We will call you at the time of your appointment.

What to Expect

When you schedule a career advising appointment, you will meet one-on-one with a career coach for 30 to 45 minutes. If you require more time, feel free to ask for a longer appointment.

Career coaches can help with career exploration, resumes, cover letters, finding jobs and internships, practicing for interviews, building your professional network, connecting with a mentor, and more.

How to Prepare

To prepare for your appointment, be sure to make any relevant materials accessible online. This can include a copy of your resume (whatever state it’s in), a link to a job posting, and so on.

During your appointment we can either share your screen or access your materials via email, just send them to cobecareers@boisestate.edu in advance.
