William Wynne

William R. (Bill) Wynne is an award-winning faculty member of the Boise State University College of Business and Economics (COBE) marketing department.  He also serves as the director of undergraduate studies for COBE.

Bill’s teaching experience spans undergraduate, MBA, and executive MBA programs where he has taught a broad range of subjects including principles of marketing, professional selling, market research, consumer behavior, strategic brand management, international marketing, strategic communications, applied marketing management, and capstone courses.

In 2019, Bill was honored as the ASBSU Golden Apple Award recipient for teaching excellence. He also serves as an ex officio member of the Curriculum Improvement and Assessment Committee, the Responsible Business Committee, and the Undergraduate Policy and Curriculum Committee at COBE.

His extensive business background has been developed through working in and leading a variety of marketing, sales, and customer service organizations.  Bill held officer, leadership, and board positions domestically and internationally at both the Ford Motor Company and Con-way Freight.

Bill has also worked in a multitude of industries including management consulting, water purification, luxury transportation, public transportation, physical therapy services, restaurant and hospitality, premiums and incentives, computer services, banking, logistics, luxury retailing, convenience retailing, public safety, music performance and instruction as a professional percussionist.  Three Presidents of the United States can be counted among his audiences during his performance and recording career.

Bill holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
