Independence : a donning and doffing device for prosthetic liners

Lower limb prosthetic devices while being worn, also require a silicone gel liner that a person must wear over their residual limb. Applying the liner requires a “rolled-on” methodology and also has constraints due to working directly against and with human skin. Team LYNR is diligently working to design a device that will place and remove the liner from the user’s lower limb. When establishing their “new normal” people wearing a prosthetic device are striving for greater independence within their world. Getting the user quickly started on their day and saving them time, in addition to overcoming upper body challenges to applying a liner is what Team LYNR is all about!
