The Center for Teaching and Learning’s (CTL) Adjunct Faculty Learning Community has been chosen as a finalist for a global award recognizing academic development good practices. The 2021 Global Advancing Academic Development Good Practice Award was designed to recognize, share and shape effective academic development practices.

The CTL has been offering the Adjunct Faculty Learning Community (AFLC) since 2015. It is designed to address pedagogical questions that adjunct faculty may have, and to help them build a community of fellow educators. Since its inception, the AFLC has had 83 unique adjunct faculty participants.

Teresa Focarile, CTL Associate Director for Educational Development, will present information about the AFLC during the virtual, global awards ceremony on November 3rd.
