Experiential Learning with Community Impact: Planning and Implementing Service-Learning into your course
Interested in learning about how to implement Service-Learning (SL) in your course? Then join us this spring for an online, asynchronous Faculty Learning Community (FLC). Participants will review SL models, try out SL essential practices, develop a SL experience with a community partner, and take steps to successfully integrate SL into their course. Other benefits of participating in the FLC include:
- Review the pedagogy that makes SL a high-impact practice
- Explore new ideas for assessment and SL scholarship
- Learn alongside an interdisciplinary community of faculty peers
The six online modules will launch in mid-February and close at the end of April. The approximate time commitment is a total of 12 hours. Educators who complete all six modules and submit a SL plan will receive a $300 grant for professional expenses.
