1950’s
- Formalized curriculum in public speaking, speech arts, forensics, broadcast.
1960’s
- Vocational/technical school offers human relations class.
- Theatre parts department offers a speech communication degree
- KBSU becomes “voice of the Broncos”
1970’s
- Department Communication Arts joins the School of Arts and Sciences
- KAID Television Studios established at the Library Learning Center
1980’s
- Department moves to Communication Building
1990’s
- Created Masters in Communication
2000’s
- Created Organizational emphasis
- Created Public Relations emphasis and certificate
- Created Digital Media certificate
2010’s
- Renamed Department Communication and Media
- Created Studio360 as multi camera production studio
