Adding an Endorsement in Idaho

Add an endorsement to your existing Idaho teacher license through Boise State Teacher Education! We offer customized pathways based on your coursework to help you add an endorsement in the most efficient way possible. You may also use this form to request an educational plan for a district to pursue an alternative authorization through the State of Idaho.

If needed, refer to the Idaho Certification Lookup tool to confirm all of your active endorsements currently held. For questions regarding which endorsements are needed for teaching specific classes or content areas, refer to the Idaho Department of Education’s assignment credential manual available on the Certification Department’s webpage.

After you submit the form with the requested information and documents, Boise State Teacher Education will reach out with specific next steps. Please Note: The review can take up to 4 weeks.
