Student Checklist

  • Check your BroncoMail and Student Center daily!
  • Complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA on StudentAid.gov if you haven’t already!
  • Review your Student Center for any To Do items and complete them as soon as possible
  • Accept or decline your financial aid in your Student Center through the Financial Aid tile
  • Idaho residents receiving Idaho LAUNCH or Idaho Opportunity scholarships, check your scholarships.idaho.gov account for any remaining tasks.
  • If you intend to have anyone else helping with your account, complete a Release of Information form with the Office of the Registrar.
  • Sign up for both payment plans (Tuition and Fees and Housing) through Student Financial Services if you intend to use a payment plan.
  • If not using a payment plan or paying out-of-pocket, ensure you have enough financial aid once your charges are assessed. The Bottom Line Estimator tool can help with this!
  • If you need additional aid, consider applying for PLUS or Alternative loans.
  • Check the Academic Calendar for important dates and deadlines!

If Accepting Federal Direct Student Loans For The First Time:

Log into StudentAid.gov and complete the following

  • Loan Entrance Counselling
  • master Promissory Note (MPN)

These are required to be completed before your loans can be disbursed to your account!

Important Information

  • Boise State University communicates through our internal email system – Broncomail. Check your Broncomail daily so you don’t miss any important information!
  • Make sure you accept your Financial Aid through the Financial Aid tile in your Student Center

Requested Documents

If documents are requested, it is important to turn them in to our office as soon as possible. Don’t wait until you arrive on campus to resolve To Do items in your Student Center.

  • Processing of documents can take 4-6 weeks as we approach the start of the semester once ALL documents have been received
