Marjan Champine, MS, MBA, CGC

Faculty

Marjan received her Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from Brandeis University in 2009 and Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Utah, Executive program in 2018. She worked as a clinical genetic counselor in prenatal and oncology for 10 years before transitioning into more business focused roles in the consumer genetic testing space. She served as the Technical Lead in Partnerships and Genetic Counseling Manager at AncestryDNA and as of 2021, is a Product Manager for consumer testing at Quest Diagnostics.

Marjan earned her Higher Education Teaching Specialist certification in 2014. She developed general genetics courses for physician’s assistants in training and created a hybrid cancer genetics course for the University of Utah Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling where she still serves on the program faculty. At Boise State she is excited to promote business foundations for genetic counseling students as they prepare to launch into their new career.
