Is it an emergency?
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do when you are sick, injured, anxious or depressed. Here are some tips:
- CALL 911 if you have a life-threatening emergency, or just aren’t sure.
- SUICIDE PREVENTION HOTLINE: 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
- CALL Health Services at 208-426-1459. When Health Services is open, you will be connected to a staff member who will help direct you to the right services. When Health Services is not open, follow the phone tree instructions for the after-hours call service. A registered nurse will answer and help you decide what needs to be done.
- Health Services offers Urgent Care *currently closed for medical problems, and a Triage Counselor is available to help with mental health problems. No appointment is necessary; simply walk in to Health Services during business hours. If the problem can’t be taken care of adequately at Health Services, you may be transferred to the next level of care (i.e. an Emergency Department).
