How to Schedule an Appointment:
- If you are experiencing a life threatening emergency please call 911!
- To schedule an appointment, please call (208) 426-1459 (choose option 3) during our hours of operation. We recommend scheduling appointments when possible to reduce your wait time.
- We are now offering both in-person and telehealth appointments. Please call us at (208) 426-1459, or talk with your provider to see if your medical, counseling, or psychiatry appointment is appropriate for telehealth services via Zoom’s HIPAA-compliant platform.
Urgent Care
Urgent care is offered during our hours of operation for patients experiencing acute symptoms or illnesses. These are not scheduled appointments and therefore subject to a wait time dependent on the volume of patients being seen. It is based on a first come first serve basis.
Examples of common acute illnesses are:
- Cold and flu
- Headaches & sore throat
- Ear & sinus infections
Crisis Counseling
If you are experiencing distress and can’t wait for a scheduled appointment with a counseling provider, we have a crisis counselor available during our hours of operation. Clients may walk in or call the clinic at (208) 426-1459 and ask to speak to one of our crisis counselors.
What to expect at your visit
Arrive 15 minutes early
Please arrive 15 min early to allow sufficient time for the check-in process. If you are a new patient, you will be required to complete new patient paperwork.
Late Arrival Policy
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule to ensure others are seen in a timely manner. Thank you for your understanding with this policy.
Bring your University ID
Please remember to bring your University ID (or drivers license) and insurance information. If you are not the policyholder of the insurance plan, please bring his or her information such as name, date of birth, and contact information in order to bill for services.
We bill insurance for services
Health Services will bill most insurance plans. If you have questions regarding billing and payment options please contact the Health Insurance and Billing Office at 208-426-2158 or healthinsurance@boisestate.edu.
Medical Records
We recommend that, if possible, you have your records sent to Health Services in advance of your appointment. Having this information helps our provides give you the best care possible.
Cancelling Appointments:
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact Health Services by phone (208) 426-1459 before your scheduled appointment. Since appointments are in high demand, your prompt cancellation will give another patient the opportunity to access timely healthcare services.
No-Show Fee:
If you miss an appointment and forget to cancel before your appointment time, you will be charged a no-show fee of $40.00.
FREE Patient Parking
FREE patient parking is available for patients receiving care at Health Services and is numbered 1-12. Please let our check-in staff know what number you parked in and the type of vehicle it is.
