We are updating our process for applying and licensing for apartments. We will be discontinuing our waitlist and apartments will now be available on a first come, first served basis. We will regularly update the listings on our website as apartment status changes occur.
We are moving to this new model in an attempt to be more transparent about apartment availability. In the past, many students have complained that it took too long to receive an apartment offer. It created an unreasonable expectation for how long they might have to wait. Other students would be offered apartments and turn them down because they found other options and didn’t let our office know, or the timing of the apartment offer didn’t match when they wanted/needed housing. This change to our process addresses all of these issues and more.
Only apartments listed on the new website will be available for licensing. We work closely with maintenance and custodial staff to ensure that apartments are turned over as quickly and efficiently as possible. However, availability and turnaround times will vary.
