Alumni Success Story

Tony FitzpatrickTony Fitzpatrick
Head Athletic Trainer
Timberline High School

Tony Fitzpatrick has been helping athletic trainers across the state excel for more than 34 years. The dual degree Boise State College of Health Sciences graduate holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology/physical education and a master’s degree in education. He is the head athletic trainer at Timberline High School.

Fitzpatrick is well known and highly regarded for his dedication to his students and athletes. He has developed curricula for future athletic trainers, created protocols for sports coverage that protect athletes from harm and injury, and cared for and rehabilitated injured athletes. His service to the profession of athletic trainers and secondary teachers is remarkable. He was inducted into the Idaho Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame and the Northwest Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame for his service and dedication.

He currently holds the positions of director/president of the Northwest Athletic Trainers Association and vice president on the board of directors for the National Athletic Trainers Association. Fitzpatrick can be found hanging out in the Kinesiology lab at Boise State, sharing insights or helping with lab activities. He helped found the Craner-Wade Athletic Training Scholarship at Boise State, reaching out to alumni and encouraging gifts to fund the scholarship while providing immediate use funds to award students while the endowment matured.
