About Jessica

  • Jessica Harned

    Violin

Jessica Harned graduated from Boise State University in 2012 with a degree in Violin Performance. After her graduation, she worked to expand her knowledge of her instrument by way of further study, soon deciding to widen her music performance views, and learn of music beyond the classical genre.

In 2015 Ms. Harned had the opportunity to join Mariachi Sol de Acapulco and has been playing with them ever since. From 2015-2016 she began working with the classical-pop duo, 92 keys. With this group she worked on and filmed pop-classical music videos, for which she helped compose and arrange music. She soon moved on to composing, recording, and filming works of her own, inspired by art that can help reveal honest human moments.

In the fall of 2016 Ms. Harned won her first professional orchestra position with the Boise Philharmonic. She has been actively performing ever since. Her time has spent time with Oregon Easy Symphony, Opera Idaho, Boise Baroque, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and this past summer, with the McCall Summer Symphony. Throughout her musical career, Jessica has also had the pleasure to share the stage with brilliant artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, William Preucil, Johnny Mathis, and Emily Wells. All ever inspiring her to continually hone her craft.

Apart from her performance life, Ms. Harned is also an active teacher in the community. She has spent time assisting various youth orchestras in the Treasure Valley but spends the bulk of her time teaching private lessons. She began her studio in 2014 and enjoys working with each of her 30 students.
