School of Nursing Sustainability

In an effort to support the university’s sustainability goals, the School of Nursing commits to operating in an environmentally-friendly and economically sound way. Do your part and help our community thrive!

What is sustainability?

Boise State’s Resource Nexus for Sustainability defines it as balancing environmental responsibility, economic prosperity and social well-being to enable a just, resilient society now and in the future.

What you can do

  • Reduce energy usage: Turn off the lights any time you leave a room, and consider minimizing elevator trips.
  • Reduce, reuse, recycle: We currently reduce and reuse equipment and materials in our lab. We also have recycling bins in hallways and offices for easy access.
  • Bring your own water bottle: Use less plastic by filling your own bottle. Filtered water filling stations are available in the hallways near the restrooms.
  • Bike to work: Reduce your greenhouse emissions by biking when able.
  • Carpool: If you drive in, consider carpooling with another campus community member.
