A New myBoiseState is Coming May 17th!

A new version of myBoiseState is scheduled for release on Wednesday, May 17.

Designed from the ground up, the new myBoiseState was created with feedback from students enrolled in Department of Art, Design and Visual Studios courses. Brian Wiley, Assistant Professor in the Graphic Design program, engaged his students in UX (user experience) research to help ensure the results of the new design meets their needs.

A primary development goal was to simplify the administrative tasks of being a Boise State student. The constant stream of assignment and administrative due dates, tracking various calendars, keeping up with daily campus alerts/updates/notifications, and dealing with course to-dos and holds can be overwhelming.

The new myBoiseState features a more comprehensive navigation menu alongside a dashboard interface to present important information at a glance, while allowing you to customize links to your most-used resources in your roles as students, faculty, and staff.

New features include:

  • A unified calendar to keep track of class schedules, Google calendar events, Canvas assignments, and academic calendar dates.
  • An expanded Events view
  • Office hours for instructors
  • Learning Assistant sessions and Drop-In Lab hours offered by Academic Advising and Support
  • Faculty course schedules
  • Faculty course details

The good news is that you don’t have to wait until May 17 to see these changes and enhancements. The New myBoiseState is available now for you to experience and provide feedback:
